Question:
Weird Squat Form
I was working out the other day and I noticed this tall skinny guy squatting 275 really deep, several inches below parallel. Nothing too impressive, though it was significantly above average for my gym. Then I notice the bar keeps coming up unevenly and his spotters have to grab it every rep. I look closer and realize that when the guy gets down in the hole and starts coming back up, he suddenly lets go of the bar and shoots his left hand to his left quad and helps push himself up. Of course this makes the bar dip crazy far on the right since he's still pulling it down, at which point the spotters on each side have to grab the bar and stabilize it. The guy did this for multiple sets with like 5-8 reps or so each set. Has anyone ever seen this before? Is it some weird new wildly successful squat form raging through the nation and I'm just behind the times, or is the guy just obsessed with feeling his quads during a good squat rep?
sounds like a moron to me, going to hurt himself doing that crap
strong ..dumbass-ness
andy bolton does this in training
