Hey Guys.
I'm Jake. 19y/o bloke from Australia.
187cm/89kgs
(6'2"/196 lb)
I'm just getting back into the gym after a string of injuries.
I did competition weightlifting when I was younger for a few years (clean + jerk + snatch lifts), won a few national comps and held a few national records for a while. Stopped weightlifting due to injuries as well as to concentrate on my studies.
I'm still studying, at university studying Engineering and finding it difficult to find time to get to the gym, but definitely trying :P
I weighed quite a bit in my off time, the most I've weighed was close to 150kgs (about 300lb), but have recently dieted my way down to 89kg/(bout 200lb) so now trying to bulk + cut and live a bit healthier. Also trying to quit smoking. (*awaits anti-smoker flaming*)
At the moment, I've been concentrating mainly on my upper body as I was thankfully born with tree-trunk legs. I'm thinking a 3 day/week program, 1 day arms, 1 day chest/back, one day core muscles. Any thoughts/anything I should be doing differently?
Any thoughts for a newcomer on ideal supps for training?
Looking forward to chatting with you all.
-Jake
