Calorie Intake :: Football Season
Question:

Calorie Intake :: Football Season
Football is here, and I am just looking to maintain my physique. Normally, to maintain, I would eat anywhere from 2500 to 3000 calories per day. Trying to keep fat under 20%, and making sure I get at least 200g of carbohydrates and protein each day. But that's in the off-season, I'm trying to figure out how many calories I will need to add to my diet to try to maintain. I'm no nutrition expert, so maybe someone can enlighten me on about how many calories a normal football player would burn in a 3-4 hour practice!

Answer:

it depends on your positions and reps. a reciever/secondary/ rb can burn about 600-700 calories. every couple of hours. and on average in school you are proably going to lose another 100 calories. i a lineman i would say about 400, and linebacker i would say about 500. full back depends n how much he is doing. 500-600 calories. im cosuming about 4000-4500 calories during the season. im trying to gain weight plus im a reciever/back.becasue once offseason comes i will only gain about 5 lbs every couple of months with speed , ans strngth training. nomrall y my lcoker becomesa grocerystore, i pack pbj and beef jerkey. eat a beef jerkey or half pbj before class starts. some times i eat carrots, for fiber. i proably eat one pbj and small pack of carrots before lunch time come arond then 30 min before footbal pratie i eat another pbj and for extra energy along with half a sports drink. mix water with my sprts drink after footbal practice. and eata ceareal bar, to allow for good absorbtion, and apettie a hour later.
